So... I'm Two Years Old

I turn two this week. If I described my first rez day as a “growing” journey, where I explore, discover what I want to do in SL, meet a wide assortment of people, awesome beings, psychotic losers etc. Then this second year of my SLife would have to be self discovery. This past one year has been a really blessed year. I had the opportunity to work with many creative minds, amazing graphic artists, as well as SL designers. A whole bunch of us have worked together for an entire year on various projects we are now really good friends, and i really have to say that these people are the highlight, and the only reason why I can smile in SL. These peeps, and the memories we create are way more precious than the pseudo “fame” many others try so hard to get.

I also launched my own mini publication that focuses on a niche market – men’s fashion. We may not / may never be the biggest magazine in SL, but really, who cares? Like what I tell the team, what matters most is that we have fun every issue because that’s really all that matters. At the end of the day, even if i get ten thousand readers a month, it doesn’t value add my life. My focus has and will always be on having fun, enjoying the process of creating a publication rather more than anything else. Special shout out to the team, thanks for being with me for the past year. I may not pay y’all a lot, but you guys slog your guts out every issue with me and showed that your loyalty is not bought by lindens, but by real rapport we’ve built over the months. Thank You! <3

So what does the coming year hold for me? Well, owing to some changes in RL (flashes ring :P ), I’m gonna be more focused on my RL (obviously), still gonna be in SL at times, especially when there are projects going on. If you know me for quite some time, you’d know if the person you’re talking to, the person replying your emails is me or … pseudo me. Yanno..

xx

|| ... I told you you should never follow me ... ||

This song made me cry… bad :/

We were something together
I wouldn’t call it a team, just big trouble and little kindness
When I know the best parts are so behind us
Keep the pride tough, more than bad luck
I ain’t messed up, I’m just wishing what we needed was a less us
I fell in love with the wrong dream

Crying in my arms what’s it all mean?

I told you never to get used to me
I still awake when you fall asleep
I’m a whole lot of trouble
We’re in a whole lot of trouble
I told you you should never follow me
But here we are, and you’re in too deep

I’m a whole lot of trouble
We’re in a whole lot of trouble

|| Vacation ||

I’m a little tipsy and i miss home terribly so imma get this over and done with. stat.

Rumor has it that I have been putting down new models behind their backs and preventing from getting jobs. First things first, I’m not surrounded by many “new” models. Most of the people I’ve known for a few months, and worked with on several occasions. Secondly, if hypothetically speaking, if someone was to come to me with a styling, and I said it was lack-lustre does that count as putting someone down behind their back?? Hell no, I’m telling it to your face. What should I have said? Lied through my teeth? I have very beautiful SL teeth by the way, or SL dentures since i can attach/detach them at will. Thirdly, the models whose styles I do like, I get them jobs, i pull them into photo-shoots whenever designers I work with ask for recommendations. So before whoever you are say that I’ve been putting down new models, think again, maybe you really do suck, or you’re just unhappy that you suck. Lastly of course, I’m very very flattered by this. I can prevent models from getting jobs. Thank you for making me out to be so powerful. Since I’m so formidable, I shall bless you with abundant joy and heal you of all your delusions.

You’re very welcome.

On another note, check out these awesome outfits from Copenhagen FW last weekend. I’d show y’all the pics taken on my RL facebook but then it’s not safe at the moment with psychos like the above mentioned running amok.

Stylecard for the above looks is avail at Keshi’s blog.

June

June has been a little insane. I had a 2 week stint in RL which cut me off from most of the world, only kept in touch with a few people from SL. It was followed by an impersonation incident on a certain website, along with the subsequent attack by a no longer anonymous individual. We released one of my favorite L’homme issues to date, i’m really nervous as we are approaching our 1 year mark, a milestone in my opinion. Got to judge/in the midst of judging two amazing contests, witnessing awesome talents. I moved in with 3 awesome friends from SL, cheers to that. Had a first taste of juggling RL and SL commitments, which is challenging but my daily planner could finally be put to better use. Heading up to London, again, and accumulating miles along the way so i can get my first class seat upgrade really soon, love autumn, love the crazy winds and constant rain. Love. Life has been really good.

JULY, I’m heading back on the runway after almost 6 months for ONE special event, not that anyone cares but can i say i’m a little nervous :p

Information for interested Designer&Blogger:

~ Every Designer/Blogger who want to help us is heartly invited to rezz 1 Outfit or Item on the Event Sim with a special Donationscript what we will send to you before May 4th who will be fixed with 100% Donation to our Unicef Avatar.

We decided to do just one Item per Designer as we want as most designers as possible to have all kind of different releases for the customers to raise also the interest for visiting the Mainstore and to keep the stresslevel low for you as we don´t have long time to prepare everything. So please content a actual Landmark from your store in your Item.

(Pose Designer may can do a package of 5-6 Poses for this Event)

~ The Sim will be open as Fullprim Sim from the 4th till 10th of May.

~ The Event will be supported by BOSL Magazine and some of the most recent Bloggers in SL.

~ Commercial pics and NCs will be sended to the Blogger as soon as they are ready and announce every Designer who is willing to help us to support them as well in their Blog.

~ Does it have to be a New designed Item? No it doesn´t need to be as we have just few days to prepare everything but it would be great to have something more ‘new’ of your collection and to hide it in the Store as long the Event is running or to sell it a bit lower in prize then in the mainstore. That we let in your hands as we think you are all very experienced in Charity Events and their organisation.

~ If there is any interest or open questions please contact Falbala Fairey (MissV Germany 2012 & Miss Avatar World 2011) who will manage the Designer and Blogger in this Event.

If anyone has interest in helping with the construction this event, they can contact (Chrisalis Takaaki).

For the Dj-planing Tampee Vibrations and Mario Zarf are responsible.

Falbala Fairey takes over the designer part.

I thank you for your cooperation and Bless all……!

Chrisalis Takaaki (Owner of the Fennel Tea Club)

ABOUT ASHRAYA

Ashraya is an organization based in India which operates with the purpose of providing aid to Indian children in need and abused women through the implementation of various projects.

From the organization’s website:
“Ashraya”, meaning ‘Shelter’ has brought hope and love into the lives of several hundred children and women, over many years. Founded and registered in 1982, the Bangalore based organization is dedicated to finding solutions for children within the frame work of their own biological families, or in adoptive homes. Initially, the organization’s main function was to work with and rehabilitate destitute, poor and abandoned children. It has now extended its services to the family as a whole.” (http://www.ashraya.net)

As is true in so many nations throughout our world, the quality of care for institutionalized children suffers due to lack of resources and financial support. When founded, Ashraya’s purpose was to improve the quality of care for these children.
The organization operates under the firm belief that such institutions are best only as temporary placement for children, and adoption has become a large piece of Ashraya’s mission. Through the important work done here, hundreds of children are placed with their forever families and are able to enjoy happiness and a bright future.

Education is highly valued by Ashraya, and that is why the organization also supports endeavors to provide schooling to children who would not otherwise be able to learn to read and write.
By helping children lead safe, happy lives and providing them with the important tools that a solid education can bring, Ashraya continues to improve the world, one young life at a time.

ABOUT OUR PROJECT

Our focus with this project will be to come to the aid of the many Indian children who need us today through the sponsorship of basic needs items as well as study programs. By participating in The ASHRAYA PROJECT, you too may help to provide food for a day or even a week, a pair of shoes, or clothing.
It is our hope that through our donations, we are able to help fund the education for as many children as possible. This, we believe, is a worthwhile cause.

Plans are currently underway for this exciting event which will open on May 5, 2012, with a KICKOFF CELEBRATION PARTY and two FASHION SHOWS featuring a live showcase of exclusive items which will be available at the FASHION FAIR running from May 6 until June 4.
Each vendor participating in the fair has agreed to offer at least one exclusive item, and the full proceeds for these exclusive items will be donated to Ashraya.

Throughout the month, we are planning various live performances for your enjoyment, and the event will close with the ART EXPO from May 28 until June 4, at which exclusive artistic creations from many talented artists on the grid will be featured and even available for purchase.
An ongoing raffle will also run during the event at which participants can win a variety of prizes ranging from personal styling sessions to photo shoots.

Our event will be held at two sims which have been graciously donated to us by BONAIRE ESTATES, and we are excited to be partnering with them for what promises to be an incredible project. The LM of the sims will be sent soon.

So many of the grid’s top designers have joined our team and will be participating as vendors in the fashion fair, and we are pleased to announce that we still have some spots available to add even more designers.
If you are interested in participating as designer, please contact Anna Sapphire for your application.

The complete list of the designers participating in The ASHRAYA PROJECT FASHION FAIR will be announced April 20.
